THE SELF-CARE MINDSET PODCAST: PAUSE ON THIS

Jeanette Bronée is the author of The Self-Care Mindset®, and her new podcast, Pause on This, brings the conversation about rethinking self-care at work to everyone who wants to work and live better.

EPISODE 7: DO WE HAVE TO GET STRESSED FROM STRESSFUL EVENTS?

How do we change our relationship with stress so that we can manage stress better? Some say we are making the stress in our mind, others believe it's circumstances that cause us to stress, and we have no control over it. Some believe that we need to think positively. So what is it? How do we stop stress from running our lives? In this episode we will discuss how we can use stress as information to get unstressed instead.

EPISODE 6: CAN WE SURVIVE IN A TOXIC CULTURE?

There's a lot of conversation about toxic culture, what causes it, and what to do about it. We are not going to solve it in this podcast but I hope my thoughts give you some tools to navigate through it and make some healthy choices for yourself.

episode 5: CARE AT SCALE

In a recent blog post, Seth Godin talked about care at scale and what it means for the customer and us. Taking that perspective into cultivating a culture that cares with intent and on purpose is how we care at scale. How is that different than a well-being culture, or is a well-being culture the foundation for an organization that cares more?

A well-being culture is mainly defined as caring for people, but a significant shift happens when we ask the question, how do we care about people? A Culture of Care® is how we CARE at scale; it's the ripple effect where care matters, care that reaches all the way to our customers.

ePISODE 4: cHANGE FATIGUE

How do we keep on our toes in the face of constant change? Change that we didn't anticipate, change happening around us, like layoffs and changes in management, strategies, and policies. Constant change that we have to respond to, but we are not in charge of. And then there's all the daily stuff too. Changed schedules and ... ok, I think you got my drift. Let's harness a change mindset instead of burning out from it and grow through uncertainty, shall we?

EPISODE 3: THE FUTURE IS UNCERTAIN

Let's stop pretending confidence comes from knowing what's ahead and instead realize that adversity is part of life. How can we learn to be more comfortable with the discomfort of change, especially the unexpected change that tends to pull the rug out from under us? How can we learn to live in awareness instead of living in fear? How can we learn to harness change, even when it's not the kind of change we plan for? How can we learn to grow through adversity without burning out? Listen to this podcast about changing our minds and becoming more aware and agile in the face of change.

episode 2: BEGINNER’S MIND

What's on your mind for 2023? Are you setting goals? Do you think you need a "new you"? What if the way we think about change needs to change because it's keeping us from creating the kind of change we are hoping for? This episode is about rethinking goals for 2023 and instead focusing on the daily steps that make lasting change. Welcome, 2023. Let's rethink self-care together and use The Self-Care Mindset® to harness the obstacles and possibilities that life gives us. Instead of getting knocked off our habits over and over, we can use our habits to navigate the ever-changing reality of our lives and work.

EPISODE 1: PLANTING SEEDS FOR THE FUTURE

This first episode of PAUSE ON THIS with Jeanette Bronee is the beginning of curiosity, starting to unfold a future yet unknown. I share why I'm starting this podcast, why we humans need to learn how to appreciate ourselves more, and how we can rethink work, life, and everything in between so that we can harness our human advantage. Let's get started planting seeds for the future, ––together.
